CLEVELAND, Ohio – The 2016 design awards handed out Friday evening at the new Hilton Cleveland Downtown Hotel by the local chapters of the American Institute of Architects and the International Interior Design Association had a familiar feel.

Many winners have been perennial favorites in the annual award ceremony.

The architecture firm of Westlake Reed Leskosky, which recently merged with Minneapolis-based DLR, took four awards – the most won by any single firm.

They included an AIA Honor Award for the new Stirn Hall at Hawken School, and a Merit Award for the renovation of the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University.

The firm also took an AIA Honorable Mention for its CREATE project at Arizona Science Center in Phoenix and the IIDA Public / Civic award for its chancel renovation at University Circle United Methodist Church.
