The Staff Selection Commission is now recruiting eligible candidates for various positions in western region. This year, SSC has declared new guidelines for SSC Recruitment 2012 for the following important posts. The name of the positions and number of vacancies are outlined hereof:

* Assistant Welfare Administrator (AWA): 2
* Junior Technical Assistant (JTA): 5
* Senior Scientific Assistant (SSA)-III: 19

Selection for the following vacancies will be conducted on the basis of Personality Test/ Skill Test/Interview. It is important to note here that merely satisfying the minimum qualifications would not essentially make an applicant eligible for the Personality Test or Interview. A preliminary selection, on the basis of academic qualifications and records, percentage of marks, etc., may be performed by the Commission to select the most eligible candidates for recruitment examination. However, the Commission has the authority not to hold the Proficiency Test for specific subjects and posts, and the selection will conducted on the basis of essential qualifications only, followed by Interview. It is at the discretion of the Commission to hold or not to hold a Screening Test before the Proficiency Test or Interview for any of the above mentioned categories. The final SSC result 2012 for the following posts will be declared only after a proper screening test, proficiency test, and interview.
